If you have a fountain pen, you will need this at some point. Just get it. I'm not terribly hands on with my pens but I've needed this. It's a life - and finger - saver! Some of those nibs are TIGHT. These do have a rubber smell, but I didn't really expect anything different. Just don't inhale too much if it bothers you.
