About Brass Pen Chalet Brass Shims(2pk)
The Pen Chalet Brass Shims come in approx. 1-1/4" x 2" sheets. Perfect for flossing between the tines of a fountain pen nib to keep them clean and ink flowing.
Each brass shim can be re-used multiple times if careful while using them. Thin enough to fit within the tines of a nib the shims can easily be bent or cut with scissors. Because the brass is soft and pliable, more so than the nib it will not hurt it.

I cannot always use expensive fountain pen paper, but some nibs are more finicky about picking up fibers. I actually needed these brass shins to fix the nib in my first $50 fountain pen, along with a loupe and micro mesh grit; and I’m a lady in my 60s. The brass shims et al has the pen writing better than how I received it from another retailer! Thank you , Pen Chalet!
