The J Herbin bottled ink fountain pen ink is non toxic and pH neutral using all natural dyes. This water based fountain ink flows smoothly and drys fast. The J Herbin bottled ink is known as "D bottle" pen inks. The "D" refers to the old French unit of measure “la Demi Courtine”.

A nice dark pink, almost red. The color is pretty consistent when you write, some other J. Herbin inks have noticable light and dark parts to your letters, not the case with this color.
