This is the Green Swirl version of the pen. It's a resin pen, so each of the resin patterns are going to be unique for each of the pens because of the swirling pattern, and the way they hand trim the pens each will have a different pattern. This pen also comes in a Tiger Eye Swirl which is a orange and black, and also a Turquoise Swirl, which is a turquoise blue color with black. This pen has chrome accents throughout, chrome on the rings as well as black chrome ring in the middle of the pen. On the end is a chrome ring with a black top to it as well as a chrome clip. On the chrome ring in the middle of the pen is printed Monteverde USA and on the top of the ring is the Monteverde logo which is quite common on the Monteverde pens.
The cap unscrews and you can write with it that way. Personally, it's a little more comfortable to write with the pen posted.
This pen is a rollerball pen. The top of the pen will unscrew and you can replace the rollerball. It's a G22 rollerball refill which is a standard universal refill that Monteverde makes.

I purchased the purple version. It is a beautiful pen with a decent weight. I am a bit disappointed with the rollerball as it tends to skip, depending on the angle at which it is held, even on high quality paper. I may try a refill.

I purchased this pen because it was on clearance and I wanted a roller ball for those times when I need to sign and go. I usually use a fountain pen, however, I was pleasantly surprised with the rollerball ink in this pen. Smooth and fluid it writes. The green is a bit transparent and everything fits snug with the assembly. Overall I am happy at the $32 mark.

I have the ballpoint, rollerball and fountain pen in the Prima series, all in blue. Although I haven't used them a lot, I think they handle well, write well, are weighted appropriately (for me). I post all of my fountain pens when writing, if possible, and the Prima fits my hands well (large hands for a woman). The pen is attractive, and the blue and black swirls are striking. IMHO Monteverde pens are generally OK, but not on par with my Pilots and Pelikans. However, they aren't as expensive either, and they are usually quite attractive. This series is my favorite Monteverde series. My somewhat low ratings are not intended to mean these are bad pens, but the performance, while certainly adequate, is what I would expect at this price point.
