The Waldmann Vela Tuscany fountain pen pulls inspiration from the constellation, Vela. The constellation is found in the northern sky and many say it resembles the sails of a ship. Similarly, the Waldmann Vela Tuscany fountain pen's intricate design detail expands and compresses as it flows through the pen's cap bringing to mind sailing the open sea. The faint lines seen moving through the design creates the illusion that the "sails" are blowing in the wind.
Made of solid 925 sterling silver, each Waldmann Vela Tuscany fountain pen is fitted with an iridium tipped stainless steel nib and has a cap screw-on system. The high quality multilayered lacquer finish on the pen's barrel is highly polished, PVD-coated, and corrosion resistant. The nib, cap, and grip section are rose gold-plated, and the pen features a spring-loaded clip.
