The Waldmann Vela Tuscany rollerball pen pulls inspiration from the constellation, Vela, found in the northern sky. The Vela constellation is said to resemble the sails of a ship. Similarly, the Waldmann Vela Tuscany's intricate design detail expands and compresses as it flows through the pen's cap bringing to mind sails on the open sea. The faint lines seen moving through the design create the illusion that the "sails" are blowing in the wind.

Each Waldmann Vela Tuscany is made of solid 925 sterling silver, has a cap screw-on system, and a high quality multilayered lacquer finish on the pen's barrel that is highly polished, PVD-coated, and corrosion resistant. The pen also features a spring-loaded clip, and rose gold-plated trim.
