The Visconti Van Gogh Flowering Plum Orchard fountain pens pull inspiration from the oil painting in Van Gogh's Japanese series. Van Gogh created the painting in 1887 from a Japanese print by Hiroshige called Plum Garden in Kameido. Van Gogh accurately reproduced the composition with more intense colors replacing the black and grey of Hiroshige's tree trunk with red and blue tones. He also added the two orange borders with Japanese characters for a decorative and exotic effect.

The Visconti Van Gogh Flowering Plum Orchard fountain pen is a beautiful cartridge converter fountain pen made of acrylic resin with Vermeil trim (yellow gold), and a Vermeil plated stainless steel nib featuring Van Gogh's Signature. The vermeil trim adds light to the red, green, and brown acrylic resin. Each Visconti Van Gogh Flowering Plum Orchard fountain pen is paired with a full-size bottle of Flowering Plum Orchard fountain pen ink, includes a bookmark showing a detail of the painting, and is beautifully packaged in a custom gift box. The cartridge converter fountain pen is compatible with standard international size ink cartridges and converters and comes with one fountain pen converter already included with the pen (for use with any bottled fountain pen safe ink).
