Visconti Qwerty Limited Edition Fountain Pens

The Visconti Qwerty Limited Edition fountain pen is inspired by the classic alphanumeric keyboard (patented in 1864 by Christopher Sholes). Sholes named his keyboard 'Qwerty', spelling out the first six 'letter' keys of the iconic keyboard system. The timeless system was born in the era of typewriters, but is still present in our everyday lives.

The Visconti Qwerty Limited Edition fountain pen's acrylic body is encased by an engraved, aged sterling silver overlay adorned with detailing in enamel. The Qwerty fountain pen's center band is engraved then enameled with the pen's namesake in both uppercase and lowercase. Each Visconti Qwerty fountain pen has a pressure fit clip embellished with an element inspired by a traditional typewriter key. The special technique used to engrave the sterling silver overlay on three different levels creates a three-dimensional effect.

Pens are made of acrylic resin aged silver, and enamel with trim of aged silver and ruthenium. Each Visconti Qwerty Limited Edition fountain pen is fitted with Visconti's 18kt gold nib with a ruthenium finish and features the Visconti power filling system.

The Visconti Qwerty edition is limited to 388 pieces worldwide.


Each Visconti Qwerty Limited Edition fountain pen arrives in special packaging inspired by the first Remington typewriters. The upper box features a hinged opening in aged silver and contains a red and black glass ink bottle. The lower portion of the box stores the writing instrument and has a magnetic closure as well as a glass window to provide a look at the pen inside.The box lid is embellished with aged silver and ivory enameled keys (spelling out the word, Qwerty). The case also includes an aged-silver plaque reminiscent of typewriter strikers featuring the Visconti logo.
