The Sailor 1911 Large Royal Tangerine fountain pen has been created for the US market. The Royal Tangerine orange color is the same design as the Sailor 1911 Large fountain pen and comes with a 21k gold nib and accepts a Sailor ink cartridge or bottled inks with the included converter.

Picked this up with a music nib. This is my first Sailor and I must say I am impressed. The pen feels good in the hand and the nib is excellently tuned right out of the box. I tried a Monteverde ink and was very disappointed with the ink flow. I flushed it and tried Noodler's dark matter. Now it writes like a soaking wet sharpie. Absolutely love this pen. The orange is very vibrant and true to the pictures.

Orange is one of my favorite colors, and I really enjoy Sailor pens, so I splurged and bought this for my birthday.
The pen is typical for Sailor -- an excellent nib for writing. The nib has a nice amount of flex on the downstroke, so it helps create a nice script.
I love the size of the pen.
The only "ding" is that I got some ink on the barrel thread for the cap. It cleaned right up, but I don't have this issue with pens with darker barrels.
