Platinum Kurikara-ken Fountain Pens

The Platinum Kurikara-ken fountain pen is created on the same ebonite body as the Platinum Izumo with a cutting edge maki-e image on the pen. Designed with Kurikara-ken, a sword held by Fudo Myo-o, one of the five great Godai Myo-o kings. This image was created with charcoal powers appleid several times to build up the image and then finished with a matte black urushi lacquer. The facial details are then touched up with lustrous black roiro Urushi lacquer. The sword is expressed in silver powers through the taka maki-e technique. The Platinum Kurikara-ken fountain pen is then finished with a Platinum 18kt gold nib that is coated in rhodium to give the silver finish. This truly unique maki-e fountain pen is unparalleled creating a gorgeous writing instrument.
