About the Platinum Desk
The Platinum Desk fountain pen is specifically designed for easy use on your desk. Choose to use the desk pen on its own with the included snap closure cap or purchase the Platinum Desk Pen Stand (sold separately) for an easy to use pen holder/stand that the Platinum Desk fountain pen slips in and out of for easy access while the pen is in use. Pen does not post.
The Platinum Desk fountain pen features a solid color (cap, barrel, pen clip, and section) with a thin gold-colored band where the cap meets the barrel that matches the plated stainless steel nib.
Pen does not include converter or ink cartridges, but is compatible with Platinum ink cartridges and converters (sold separately).

Together with the easy-to-use desk stand this pen provides me with instant access to a quality, top-tier, ready-to-write pen and I don't have to keep taking the cap off and putting it back on while I'm waiting a few minutes to ponder my next word or make notes while I'm on the phone.

This pen is really meant to work with the stand and I personally think they should always be sold together. The pen nib is nice but the pen itself is average at best. If what you are looking for is a quick and easy pen you don't mind if it gets abused a little, I think this one works. The price is right for sure.
