About the Platinum 3776 CENTURY Travia Limited Edition
Introducing the new #3776 CENTURY Travia, a next-generation evolution of Platinum’s iconic #3776 lineage!
Beyond the Tradition
Travia takes its name from a combination of “Tradition” and “Via,” meaning path in Latin. Built on decades of #3776 heritage, it represents Platinum’s forward-looking vision for modern fountain pen design—both in form and in writing performance.
From Legacy to the Next Evolution
The standout feature of the #3776 CENTURY Travia is the newly engineered FLAF nib, short for “Float Like A Feather.” First introduced on the #3776 CENTURY DECADE, the FLAF nib has been further refined for the Platinum 3776 Century Travia fountain pen release to deliver an exceptionally soft, responsive writing experience. Compared to standard #3776 nibs, the FLAF nib flexes with less force and responds in a more linear, controlled manner, allowing writers to fine-tune line variation naturally through pressure. The result is a smooth, expressive feel that remains precise and easy to control, from light strokes to more deliberate movement.
Travia also introduces a long-body, flat-top design with integrated metal components in both the barrel and grip section. This brings the center of gravity closer to the fingertips, creating a stable, well-balanced feel whether used posted or unposted—ideal for extended writing sessions. The metal trim features a black nickel plating with a refined, subdued shine. The 14kt gold nib is treated with a ruthenium plating that conveys depth and elegance, creating a modern, luxurious look.
The first production run will be limited to 2,000 sets worldwide and includes a special package featuring the booklet “Ah, Fifty Years of Hardship,” written by Platinum founder Shunichi Nakata. (First published in 1966, the new version was revised and translated into English so readers overseas could enjoy it as well).
The Limited Edition Platinum 3776 Century Travia Fountain Pen Set Includes:
The #3776 CENTURY series is equipped with the “Slip & Seal Mechanism” that prevents ink from drying out in the pen with a complete airtightness.
