Metal pens aren't my favorites, but AGAIN Platinum made some pretty ones that I couldn't resist. The ombre shades are really nice. Honestly, you can't really go wrong with a Platinum FP, no matter what the model IME.

This is a wonderful, inexpensive fountain pen that writes smoothly without skipping or scratching on paper. The only thing I can say against it is that it came with an ink cartridge (no converter) but nowhere on the packaging did it state what cartridges to buy. This was a long cartridge but not like any of the others I have on hand. Would have appreciated some direction as to which cartridges will work best with this pen as well as what ink converters may fit this pen should I wish to switch. Other than that, this pen was easy to ink, did not skip (ink) or scratch (paper). Nice starter fountain pen.
