The Monteverde Prima Series fountain pen is made from acrylic resin accented with chrome or gunmetal trim. The Prima's ergonomically balanced shape makes this pen a joy to use. Choose from a range of color choices.
The nib is made from stainless steel with cartridge/converter filling.
*Monteverde fountain pens purchased in 2020 or later, may be packed in the "new" Monteverde pen box, a thin, black plastic box with grey velvet lined interior. The black is encased in a green/black cardboard sleeve featuring the Monteverde branding.

The body is made from an acrylic resin. On our website the products have a swirl pattern to the pen. This particular pen has chrome accents to it. It has a Monteverde logo on the top of it and it say Monteverde USA on the side.
The cap itself unscrews to reveal the nib. This particular nib is a stainless steel nib. You can also remove the nib section from the barrel. This is a cartridge converter pen. We have the converter connected to it but you can pull the converter out and replace it with cartridges. This particular pen comes with an extra cartridge.

Beautiful pen to look at, but I was a bit disappointed in the nib. It’s a #6 fine point but maybe it’s the ink or the paper but it writes like a medium point. It’s a smooth writer but I am going to change the nib to an EF and see if that helps. It reminds me of a TWSBI nib: says it’s one thing and write like something else but smooth.

The Prima writes very well, like a fine point pen. The flex tip does not have much contrast in size and is hard to get a wider line on the down stroke. Over all I love it as a writer.

This pen is more beautiful in person with many striations of greens on the cap and body. I ordered it with a stub nib that is as smooth as butter. This is a beautiful pen, it feel good in hand and is easy to write with. I inked it with Fahrney’s Gables Green which is a perfect match! I highly recommend this pen. It is a comfortable pen that looks rich. No lightweight here!

Great writer. Got here the day before Valentines Day. The picture is very misleading. It’s mostly white and the orange stripe is not dominate. Wife was delighted and Monteverdi continues to be the best pen for the money.
