Monteverde Prima Series Fountain Pens Reviews
I am happy with this pen. The flex nib isn't very flexible, but I still like the way it writes.

Bought this for my son's 15th birthday and he loves drawing with this pen as it allows him to have different thickness to the line. He started with a fine tip Lamy and now he uses The Prima mostly. He admires the nib design.

This is the pen that all the other sub $100 pens want to be when they grow up. Made from resin but there is no cheap feel to the Prima. Monteverde provides excellent components that are top quality, sold construction with magnificent performance. You will not be disappointed with how this pen reacts while using it. Strokes in all directions are glassy smooth and will remind you of much more expensive pens. I would say that the Monteverde Prima is in my opinion, a benchmark for sub $100 pens and 5 stars for value. Hats off to the Pen Chalet staff for choosing the Prima in their line up of incredible offerings.

Love this pen. Got the fine nib and it is a joy to write with, smooth not scratchy.

Gorgeous pen. Monteverde never disappoints me. Neither does Pen Chalet. This pen is smooth out of the box. Flow is great. Perfect weight. Not too heavy not too light. The green just pops in certain light. Glad I jumped on this one! Thanks Pen Chalet.

Was hoping for a smoother nib.

For the price, I was and still am surprised at how smooth they write. I have the green and the purple. They are among my favorites with which to write. My only caveat would be the purple is much more pink than it shows in the picture (looked at several different displays - all show darker color of purple than actual pen. (I have the Prima rollerball in purple also.)
For a fine nib, it seems slightly broader than others (compare Pilot or Platinum).

One of the smoothest writing pens I own, and a real favorite all around. Sharp looks, great feel and easy, gliding stroke. No ink problems.

I bought a green Prima with 1.1mm stub. Never had a stub before, but this one was buttery smooth and surprisingly useful. Feed keeps up well and the pen is a delight to see and use. Service with Penchalet was outstanding. I will probably order another Monteverde from them soon, hopefully with blowout pricing again.

This is my third Prima, have both fine and medium nibs, very happy with the series. Good everyday writer, comfortable to hold and use for long sessions, and the nibs on all three write well with good ink flow and no hesitation or skipping. Pen colors are fun. I enjoy using these
