The pen comes with two standard international ink cartridges as well as an ink converter, and of course we have the Monteverde Monza fountain pen. The pen comes in several different colors with a translucent cap and barrel and chrome-colored trim on the pen.
The chrome clip with a ring that attaches at the top. It has a chrome band at the center with "Monza" and "Monteverde" engraved on the band and just a plain barrel to the pen. The cap threads on and off and can be posted on the pen.
It is a fairly lightweight pen, it's all plastic material with a stainless steel nib. And you can see the steel nib with a clear-colored feed on the backside of the nib. Since it is a cartridge-converter style pen you can unscrew the section from the barrel of the pen and insert a cartridge or converter here. It also has a small o-ring on the pen so it looks like it would be able to be used as an eyedropper as well, if you wanted to convert it for that as well.
Great little pen, great design. I like the look of it. For the price it's a great pen. Get your Monteverde Monza fountain pen at PenChalet.com!

This is the Monteverde Monza Fountain Pen. It comes in a transparent box to match the color of the pen. This happens to be the orange pen so the box has a slight orange color with an orange label, "Monteverde Monza." There is also the Monteverde logo, somewhat hard to see, in the bottom corner of the box. The cardboard sleeve slides off and the plastic clam shell box opens up. There is a foam interior. The pen comes with two standard international ink cartridges as well as an ink converter, and of course we have the Monteverde Monza fountain pen. I purchased this pen in the blue and orange. They're light pens and they write pretty well, for the most part. The blue one was nice and smooth (in Fine) but the orange one wasn't as smooth of an experience; I'm not sure if it's because of the nib, the ink, or both. It averages out to a fairly reliable pen and great value if it works well.

I thought it was a great little pen until it broke. Not the best construction I guess. I bought two of these. First one had the top end cap above the clip break off of its threads so that pen was no longer usable. Then a month later the threads of the pen cap broke off from the cap body.
Now these pens weren't abused. They stayed in my house on my work counter and didn't get any mis-treatment. I treat my pens with respect! Yes the price is right but having them break apart in the first few months is more than I want to pay.

I'm glad I bought this pen. It's better quality than I was expecting at such a modest price. The design, silvery fittings, and translucent dark amber body give it a classic look. With the medium nib it writes smoothly with just a light touch. The screw-on/off cap affords a more secure feel than a simple pull-off would.
I haven't tried it with the ink-filler attachment yet, but it seems sturdy enough and mechanically sound.
The variety of ink cartridge colors should have something for any taste.

Nice looking very inexpensive pen. Bought two just cause I could. One Fine and the other Medium. Quickly found out that I should pay more attention to the size of my pen bodies in the future because these 2 are just a bit short for my large (but not XL) hand. The nibs are also just a bit on the "flex" side which I am not familiar with and find disconcerting. Oh, well...
A second note is that the Medium nib on these MVs is quite a handful. Lays down a good amount of ink such that the std. paper tablets I write on bleed quite a bit. That and every tall letter shows quite a bit of variance in the impression left on the page with the tail end of the penstroke having a noticeable 'dot' at the finish.

When I saw the Demonstrator in the blue-green, I couldn't resist! Finding it on sale was even better. The selection of fountain pens and rollerballs is phenomenal at Pen Chalet. If they don't have it, I bet they can find it.
I start my look for a pen here at Pen Chalet. I also like to watch the videos showing the pen and describing it in detail.
