To celebrate 20 years, the Monteverde pen company has recreated the Innova, one of their earliest designs. The pen features a carbon fiber body with chrome trim. Fitted with a #6 stainless steel nib and a cartridge converter fill system.

I was very surprised how much I enjoy writing with this pen. It is a smooth writer, well balanced and consistent. It feels well made (better than the ones with plastic bodies). I use it with a medium nib.

This is a very nice fountain pen. As usual I had a little trouble getting ink to flow. I found if I stored the pen face down for a little while the ink path would fill up and the pen worked fine after that.

At first I wasn’t fond of the way this pen wrote, but on a whim I put in a different ink and it went from being an ok writer to being fantastic. I already ordered another in the rainbow finish. For being a (relatively) inexpensive pen, the #6 stainless steel nib is shockingly nice.

The pen has been good and a solid value. What really was excellent was the customer service I received from Pen Chalet after I changed my mind on the nib. I would recommend the pen so far, but strongly recommend Pen chalet! Look forward to continuing to do business with them!!

Lovely pen! I got the Omni-flex nib and it is quite stiffer than I hoped for. It writes very smoothly but do not expect it to flex easily. DO NOT POST THE PEN!!! This might lead to barrel cracking issues later which I have seen happening to many people.

Great pen with the Omniflex nib, wet writer. Even though the pen is made out of carbon fiber, it is has some heft to it. Pen has some major starvation problems out of the box, a flush is a must. Also having some hard start problems if left uncapped for a few minutes. No regrets buying it as I am a big fan of carbon fiber made anything.
