Monteverde 20th Anniversary Innova Chrome Fountain Pens Reviews
This pen is complete garbage, it has no ink flow and you have to shake the pen every 3 words or it will starve. It does it with both the included converter and after after market cartridge. Sometimes it writes wet, some times dry - but it will always cut the ink flow. At least it makes for a good looking paper weight. I have the Omniflex nib.

This has to be the best buy on the Pen Chalet website. The images don't do this pen justice. I'm quite surprised the item description doesn't mention this is a limited edition of 1999 pieces. Not only is each pen engraved on the barrel end cap with it's unique production number, eg. 1325/1999, but the presentation box is as well. The box also contains a Monte Verde lapel pin as well as a 25ml bottle of black ink.
In the hand this pen's weight is just about perfect with little to no extra pressure to initiate and maintain a silky smooth ink flow.
An unusual feature is the pen's cap posting characteristics. The store description says it has a magnetic mechanism, and that may be true, but it posts with a solid, mechanical feeling. Un-posting the cap requires just the same effort as capping and un-capping. This results in a very satisfying click. I have many other fountain pens and I can recall no others that do this.
I purchased the omni-flex nib, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the pen or Pen Chatlet. So much so that I purchased another six! My plan is to use them as gifts in the future but I can see myself wanting to keep them just in case one gets lost.
Check other retailers. At two to three times the price its a fine pen at a fair price. At the Pen Chalet clearance price it's an absolute steal.
Thank you Pen Chalet!

Classy. Crisp pen. Well designed. Looks to be a much more expensive pen than the cost would show. Writes so well to be an everyday writer. Could be a good step up pen from LAMy Safari to anyone.

I am completely satisfied with my purchase of the Monteverde 20th Anniversary Innova Chrome. The pen writes beautifully. I use quite a few different pens on a day to day basis and have come back to this time and again in the three or so weeks since it arrived.
If there are any drawbacks, they include: the pen (being carbon fiber) is a bit heavy when posted (and I love posting my pens), and I prefer a tad bit darker black when choosing ink. However, for the price point, I will live with those very minor, minor details. This was great quality at a great price.
Thanks.

Best Customer Service, knowledgeable and very patient. Shipping is fast. The pen really does need a good cleaning, the pen has a lot of metal threads that benefit from being hand-tightened. Pen did leak, converter emptied the entire contents into the cap. The nib has nib creep and hopefully after cleaning those problems are resolved. Otherwise, the nib is smooth, on Rhodia paper it has a nice fine line that resembles an asian pen. After a few pages it starts feeling more like a European fine. The nib flow feels like a Montblanc, it is perfectly balanced ink flow with Montblanc inks. The feed needs time to adjust to a new ink, otherwise it will feel like it is a dry pen, and it really just needs a few minutes to know what ink it is using. It feels like it is a very old fountain pen. Engraving is beautiful, it looks like a Montblanc with silver lettering.
