The Delta Alessandro Manzoni Limited Edition fountain pens are a stunning luxury design limited to only 150 pieces worldwide. The extraordinary pen design is a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the death of Alessandro Manzoni (Milan 1785-Milan 1873). The Italian writer, poet, and playwright is famous all over the world for "The Betrothed," a timeless masterpiece of Italian literature.

The Delta Alessandro Manzoni Limited Edition fountain pen uses a piston filling system with an end-of-stroke clutch and features a transparent ink window providing a view of the pen's ink level. The pen features a combination of silver and gold colored trim and offers a fantastic contrast between the dark red, green, brown, and yellow resin of the cap, section, and end cap against the deep turquoise of the barrel. The stunning limited edition fountain pen's 14kt gold nib is engraved with a typical Lombard hairstyle made up of a variable number of pins arranged in an arial pattern, a hairstyle Manzoni describes in detail as the hairstyle of Lucia in "The Betrothed."

The fountain pen's cap is personalized by the authentic signature of the great writer and houses a cabochon in the finial portraying the commemorative writing and the Delta logo. The cap band is 925 sterling silver with a beautiful "lost wax" casting reproducing the typical neo-Renaissance style ornament that enriches the facade of Manzoni's Milanese home (where he lived from 1814 until his death). The blind cap also houses a cabochon where each pen's unique number is engraved.
