The Conklin All American fountain pen was created during the 1930s, at the dawn of the Great Depression at an affordable price. The All American came in a variety of sizes, finishes and filling mechanisms. It was and still is a quality writing instrument at an affordable price.
The Conklin All American fountain pen comes with a cartridge/converter fill mechanism and a highly polished gold trim. The All American is large but not uncomfortable in the hand. The cap and barrel are tapered for perfect balance.
The Conklin All American fountain pen comes in finishes that pay homage the classic designs of the vintage Conklin All American. The Yellowstone finish with its yellow, brown and white resin, the bright sunburst orange and the classic tortoiseshell.

And of course, we have the Conklin All American Fountain Pen. This is the tortoise shell version of the pen, pretty basic design and shape. It comes with a gold colored clip. It's a spring actuated clip. You push the top section of the clip. It opens up nice and wide. It makes it real easy to get into your pocket. Nice design there. It has the Conklin logo embossed, or engraved into the clip, and on the barrel of the pen is also engraved the Conklin logo, Toledo, USA, and All American.
The cap on the pen is threaded and unscrews. You can post the cap. This is a larger pen so you can write without the cap posted. No problems there, whichever you would prefer. I think I prefer without the cap because it is a larger pen.
You can see the two tone stainless steel nib with the Conklin logo in gold, Toledo, USA, on there as well. To change the ink on the pen you unscrew that grip section from the barrel and one ink converter is included with the pen. You can change that out if you want to use cartridges, whichever you'd prefer with this pen.

Conklin All American Video Script
This is the Conklin All American Fountain Pen. It comes in the traditional Conklin blue faux leather box with the Conklin logo embossed in gold on the top of the box lid, which lifts open. The interior of the box is a satin finish. On the underside of the box lid, we have the Conklin logo embossed once again in gold. Included with the pen is two standard universal ink cartridges. It also can use bottled inks with the ink converter that's included with the pen.And of course, we have the Conklin All American Fountain Pen. This was my purchase to understand the value of the Conklin brand relative to fountain pens. I liked the retro styling of the pen and the color. The size was great. It is a cartriage pen that looks like a bottle fill. For the cost it is a good pen that delivers what you expect in the price range.

nib needed some work to flow like I wanted, and ink evaporated annoyingly fast, so the cap is not doing its job. pretty acrylic, but there are better, cheaper oversize pens out there.
