The Caran dAche Cosmic Blue 849 Special Edition ballpoint pens are inspired by a lunar look and cosmic colors. The pen's body has an aleatory appearance resulting from the technique of tribofinition, color graduations at the tip obtained by color lacquering. The technique of tribofinition involves placing the unfinished elements in tumblers with metallic parts to create this aleatory surface finish and then lacquering the pen with a transparent varnish.

The Cosmic Blue 849 SE ballpoint pens come in 2 models- Blue Cosmic Blue with a body displaying a dark blue color graduation with tone-on-tone attributes and Gold Cosmic Blue with a lunar grey body and golden lacquering on the tip with velour chrome grey attributes.

These ballpoint pens come in a premium cardboard box in night blue, covered with gold and white galactic motifs. The box has a slide opening and a sleeve decorated with the visual identity of the collection. The pens are equipped with a medium black Caran d’Ache refill and are compatible with all Caran d’Ache Goliath ink refills.
