Caran dAche Pens

If you are looking for a Caran dAche item not listed on our website contact customer service. We are often able to get Caran dAche pens and inks not listed.
Caran d’Ache originated as a simple pencil maker located in Geneva, Switzerland in 1915 to over 100 years later emerging as one of the worlds recognized leaders in premier manufacturing and the only manufacturer of fine writing instruments to be located in Switzerland.
Although the Swiss are known for their technical knowledge and excellent craftsmanship and quality in its watch making industry, Caran d’Ache has extended such craftsmanship and quality to the fine writing manufacturing as well.
Arnold Schweitzer merged the original writing instrument company with the Ecridor Pencil Factory when he purchased it in 1924. Mr. Schweitzer decided to name his new company after the nickname of a French Political cartoonist, whose name originated from karandash, which is the Russian word for pencil, thus Caran d’Ache was officially formed.
Caran d’Ache continues to manufacture its products in its Geneva Switzerland workshops today.
Pen Chalet is a proud Authorized Dealer of Caran d’Ache pens, pencils and inks.

Love how the ink flows nicely through the ink ball. It does not smear or "gunk up" like some refills. Would buy again when needed.

This pen is a good weight and definitely made well. It is smaller than a normal ballpoint pen so I have to remember that I have it in my pen bag. It does write very well and feels good when I write with it.

I love these ballpoint pens. Smooth writing, the pen glides on any type of paper. I love the hexagonal shape, that reminds me of the wooden pencil. They come in a wide variety of colors that can become collectable really quick. I highly recommend these pens.

Great ink, I appreciate being able to sample the inks, as going through an entire large bottle will never happen (though that won't stop me from buying large ink bottles!). Now if only we could send back these plastic sample bottles to get another refil to save on plastic waste...

An excellent fountain pen with the look and feel of high quality and precision. The pen is well-balanced and easy to write with. The nib is steel but is smooth, with a bit of flex which creates a pleasing amount of line variation (on the medium nib, at least). It is neither "wet" nor "dry" but somewhere in between. A slight drawback is that it seems not to accept non-Caran d'Ache cartridges, so if one wants to use other brands of ink, one has to use the converter reservoir.

I bought the fluorescent orange color. The pen is BRIGHT! I mean it is true to the fluorescent orange color! The pen is very lightweight. I put Diplomat Orange using a converter. It writes well, M nib. The only complaint I have at this time is that where the screw in neck meets the body, there is a lip which for me is a tad uncomfortable, but this does not affect the craftsmanship at all. This is why I chose 4 under the Product Style. I will use it and I think after use that will not be an issue.

This pen is a smooth writer in extra fine.
I set the cap aside when I write, because as others have observed, the cap is wobbly.
I have a very small hand, and this pen fits well, and it’s neither too light nor too heavy.
The fluorescent pink is uniquely enticing; I wish I could buy all the colors.

I've used Fixpencils for years and have always loved them. I'm a Nespresso user too so I thought what could be better. It feels good in the hand and is great for sketching.
I bought one as a gift for an associate.

Expensive, but worth it. Beautiful ink that performs well. Dries quickly, does not smear. Only downside is that it is not at all water resistant, but this is true of most all inks.

Great stylish pen. With the Goliath refill, you seemingly always have ink! Pen writes very smooth. Personalization looks good with these pens.

Great pens. They by far are the most smooth single use ballpoint pens I have ever used (they write like the Goliath refills). The wood chip adds visual appeal and I like the back story. Pen barrel is smooth.
