I purchased a flex nib for use in my Conklin pens. Changing out the nibs was very easy and I like this nib a great deal. It has some bounce and provides a modest line variation. The general feel is that of a medium nib but definitely less rigid. I wanted to try out a flex nib, and I found this a cost effective way to do so.

I love this pen! So much so I had to get both colors blue & white! Couldn’t decide which I liked more so when you can’t decide….The size is impressive (large!) but they’re not too heavy so even in a smaller hand like mine they work fine. The resins are beautiful! Almost 3D in their appearance with depth. Just absolutely love the look! Conklin delivers some of the most beautiful pens at great prices! These pens are very different from one another. The colors and the amount of glitter/shimmer in the body can vary greatly. I had ordered one for my husband for a gift and the pen that arrived was very purple (the cap was all purple). I was very happy that Pen Chalet was willing to look for another pen (and even sent me a picture) and replace this one for one more to my liking. The new pen is beautiful! Just be aware that the variation can be significant.

A beautiful pen with beautiful symbolism to match being the commemoration of Israel's 75th Anniversary. The pen barrel is gorgeously decorated in blue with the cap in silver covered with important symbols of Jewish heritage. While it may not rank up there with quality pens such as Montblanc and Visconti and the like, this pen's cultural significance more than makes up for it.

Probably as close as one can get to some of the Brooks acrylics without paying hundreds of dollars. The colors are just mesmerizing in their swirls and it makes it hard to believe that this is a Conklin pen. Outstanding is the word. It is a bigger pen, along the size of the All American. Complete with the new and improved nib units. This pen is ready to write and turn people's heads. You take this out of a shirt pocket, you will get attention.

I am captivated by the unique grain patterns of the olive wood— gives you a definite sense of a "one of a kind." It is becoming a "go-to pen" for me. The pen’s size is just right for me. It’s large enough to feel substantial but not heavy that it becomes tiring during letter socials. The grip section is comfortable, and the screw-on cap is secure and satisfying. What impresses me is the writing experience. The stainless steel nib glides effortlessly across the page, producing a consistent flow of ink. I love that it comes with both a converter and compatibility for standard international cartridges—very convenient for someone like me who likes to switch inks often. Given the natural wood body, I do make sure to handle it with care- meaning use it with clean hands. I have found Conklin fountain pens reliable and attractive- always fun to bring to a fountain pen or letter writing meet-up.

I am on a never-ending quest to find the best blue ink. This is a strong contender. The color is beautiful - it is subdued enough to be a respectable ink for me to use for work but with a great pop of color that makes it way more pleasing than a basic navy or "regular" blue. It seems to be a high-quality ink (this is my first experience with a Conklin ink). It didn't quite knock Colorverse Supernova off my private ranking for #1 blue ink, but it is a close 2nd.
