This is an awesome pen with a lot of unique & intricate details - I'm shocked at the lightweight feel, which is really nice to write with! It's beautiful and symbolizes a beloved literary giant, so I'm very pleased. The box also continued the Huckleberry Finn theme which was a nice touch. Overall an excellent writer with a super smooth feel and soft glide across the paper's surface. The top finial having the tiny golden Mark Twain medallion is the cherry on top of this pen! Comes with a converter and a box of small cartridges.

This is going to be one of my most special writing instruments! I ordered for my birthday which is in 2 weeks. Purple, such a royal color, is my favorite color. Although I only tested it upon arrival, I found it to be of high quality. I can't wait to use it. I highly recommend this item & Pen Chalet in general! I bought this same one from a competitor, whom I had made previous purchases. It arrived with a small defect (which I could've lived wuth,but asked for a token discount). It wasn't only that the request was refused, it was the manner in which I was spoken to & their claim of responding to my email & that it "probably went into my spam folder". Best fine nib I've ever had. I had another La Boeuf fine nib pen but it disappeared in a restaurant the first time I was using it. Vanished into thin air while I was sitting at a table with my sister. It wasn't on the floor either. The restaurant checked all the nearby tables to no avail.
So back to this fine nib; all others I've had required writing over and over about 3 times before I could really see what I had written. This one really is fine but best very legible.
