The author, Jules Verne, was born on February 8th, 1828, and became one of literature's most celebrated figures. His writing career includes 65 novels including ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth,’ ‘Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea,’ and then, of course, ‘Around the World in Eighty Days.’ Verne also wrote dozens of plays, short stories, essays, and opera librettos.
The LeBoeuf Jules Verne Around the World in 80 Days Limited Edition fountain pen was inspired by Jules Verne’s most famous novel, “Around the World in 80 Days" and features an exclusive bright blue acrylic that takes you right into the skies on an airborne adventure. The gorgeous acrylic is paired with gold-plated trim. Each pen's cap shows a gold travel balloon engraved, and Jules Verne’s famous signature is engraved in Gold on each pen's barrel. A Gold coin with a bust of Jules Verne shows on the cap finial.
