I have never used a flush before. Since I hadn't used my fountain pen in a couple of years and had issues with cartridges that would not stay in place, my pen needed a thorough cleaning. The flush was easy to use and left my pen squeaky clean. Since you can reuse the fluid, it's a great value.

When my fountain pen seems to be writing with some spots of uneven ink, I have used the flush on the nib tip, and have found that it regains the smooth, even ink flow to nib. I use the flush every two or three weeks.

It is a big bottle and great value for the price. The soapy texture melts dried ink away. I recommend that you flush your pens when you first get them to ensure there is no manufacturing contamination like oils that can cause issues. This is a must for all pen enthusiasts.
