I was depressed after I got this pen. This is an inexpensive pen that writes as well or better than some of my much more expensive pens. It makes you think twice about buying another high priced pen. It has an extra fine nib that writes very smooth. Its body is nothing special but perfect for a pen I can take to work and not worry about hurting or losing. It doesn't come with a converter but I just refill the cartridge with a syringe. I really like this little Preppy and give it two thumbs up.

I was excited when I 1st received the pen in the mail. I haven't had one since the 70's. They used to be called Shaffer pens. The difference pen the Preppy pen and the one I use in the 70's the hole that the ink flows into to get to the tip gets stiff (the Ink) however there is a tiny silver ball in the cartridge that if you gently shake it the ink becomes easy flowing and the Shaffer did not have a ball in the cartridge. I think back in the 70's I was still in high school OMG the not taking I went though about 10 to 15 cartridges in a week. I LOVE THIS PEN.

I love my new fountain pen! Easy to write with, feels good in your hand. The cartridge is easy to load as well. Love it!

Pen skips a lot. But what do you expect from a 4 dollar pen. Do yourself a favor and buy the Pilot Metropolitan for 15 dollars. You can't go wrong.
