I ordered two Preppy fountain pens to leave at the office. Pens have a way of walking off there. They have a smooth ink flow which was unexpected for such inexpensive pens.

I've always preferred a fountain pen to write but, as an independent author attending signing events, they sometimes have the tendency to wander (as does any pen in a crowded busy situation). Having a good quality inexpensive fountain pen that is easily replaceable is a must for me. This pen fits that bill.

The Preppy pens are a very good value. I bought 2 of them, in order to use two different inks. It takes a little muscle to get the ink cartridge inserted. I like the see-through case. Have used them for several letters and notes, they performed without any problems.

These are great pens for those with a penchant for writing instruments and starting to test the water of writing with fountain pens. I have two, just because I needed different color ink (black and red). I use them to notate on screenplay roughs and the ease of use is suited perfectly for this application.
