I absolutely love my fountain pen. I ordered the pink one and it is stunning. I love pens and have collected a few over the years, to my husbands dismay. My favorite pens are fountain pens. My Plaisir pen writes as well as my Cross fountain pen, but a lot less expensive. Thank you Pen Chalet for the quick shipping and have great prices on pens!!! I am new to fountain pens and really liked the look of this pen and the color. The only disappointment I had when I received the pen was that the nib was silver instead of blue as depicted in the photographs on the website, so that was kind of a bummer, but by no means a deal breaker: I guess the just ran out of blue nibs that day at the factory (lol). I ordered a medium nib and it's super smooth and hasn't skipped. To be honest, it writes better than my MontBlanc Starwalker fountain pen, which I received last year after finishing an educational endeavor. The pen feels like a much more expensive pen, but it is not flamboyant or gaudy or over the top. It's a simple beauty. It's constructed nicely, It does what it is designed to do, which is write with liquid ink, and it does it darn good for the price. I plan to order several more actually, I just need to get clear on what colors of the Plaisir actually come with a nib that matches the color of the pen. Lastly, the staff at Pen Chalet has been very nice and the shipping was quite fast. I plan to order several more pens and ink from them after the Holidays.

Nice handling pen with a little heft to it. Fine nib was just right. Ink flow skipped unpredictably and intermittently at the beginning, but flushed pen well and no more problems. Firm click and fit to the cap. Came with a cartridge, but used a separate piston converter instead. Cartridge could be re-used with ink of choice in lieu of converter. Nib was smooth and needed no tuning as far I was concerned. Sadly, I lost it after three weeks (not sure how) but planning on getting a replacement in the same blue model. I had a Plaisir awhile ago but gave it away to someone who liked it. So I thought I'd get another. I had forgotten how much I liked it! The other one was green. This one is pink. And I usually buy F nibs but got a M in this pen. Very glad I did. Smooth writer. Honestly, it wasn't very expensive but it writes like a much more expensive pen. I recommend it!

This is my first fountain pen and I'm very pleased with it. In fact, I'm considering my next pen. After inserting the ink cartridge, it didn't work. After consulting with source on YouTube, I primed the nib with a little warm water for a few minutes and it writes beautifully. The fountain pen itself is a beautiful metallic green with matching nib and silver band on the barrel. it's not very heavy and fits comfortably in my hand. Since this is my first fountain pen, I'm uncomfortable with rating the pen as I have no point of reference for comparison.
Pen Chalet offered a great deal and the delivery was fast.

My initial foray into fountain pens was the Lamy Safari. I wanted to like it, but it skipped a lot for me. I am left handed, so that may have played a role, I don't know. This is my second shot. I was initially drawn to the pen because you can evidently leave it capped for a year and it will still write, and it was on virtually everyone's recommended pen for beginners.

I am very impressed with the Plaisir. It doesn't skip, needs no priming to begin writing, and is truly a well crafted, solid pen. The body is aluminum and light for a metal pen. Platinum nibs are, evidently, known for some 'scratchiness', and this is no exception. I would note that this isn't a problem for me and I actually like the feel. I have written with pens that you felt nothing as you wrote and my penmanship suffered. This a touch grittier than a pencil, in my opinion.

I gave the pen 4 stars in Style only because there's nothing standout in its style and design. That's not a bad thing at all. I would assume time and energy spent in a new style would add to the cost. For a beginner pen, this is easily a homerun. The value is amazing. It's a solid pen that doesn't skip and it's built like a tank.

I love my new pen, and I will be buying from Pen Chalet from now on. The places I use to buy from would only carry the medium point pens. My new Plaisir pen is GREAT, love the red color and red nib.
