What a great and fun writing instrument! The writing quality of the Pilot Vanishing Point nib is very, very good. It provides a smooth writing experience that is accurate, artistic and modern in style, yet still quite beautiful. Whether a beginner or an experienced fountain pen user, this is a fine addition to any collection. Highly recommended.

Excellent pen. I like it more than my Lamy Dialog 3 I think; for the single fact it is actually a true extra fine nib. The extra fine on my Dialog three writes as if it was a medium. This pilot is awesome, just a bit too much feedback from the nib- my Kaweco Sport with an extra fine nib writes buttery smooth (it is a $20 pen). For the vanishing price point the nib should be a bit smoother but overall I love. If I had to buy it again I would. Pen is sturdy and doesn't not feel cheap.

The Pilot Vanishing Point fountain pen is always ink ready. I live in a very dry climate and having ink ready fountain pens is a challenge. The Pilot Vanishing Point does not disappoint.

I really like the style and look of the Vanishing Point. The Dessert Orange with matte black hardware looks great. It writes beautifully. I purchased the pen with a medium nib. My only caution is the placement of the clip. Depending on your hand placement you may have an issue with extended writing periods. I had to adjust my writing position on the pen.

Beautiful pen, feels lovely in the hand. The clip isn't for everyone so do some testing/investigation before buying. I have the unusual EF nib. Pen Chalet service was excellent - highly recommend!

I have had this pen just a week and already it is my "go to" fountain pen. This pen writes smoothly and is very functional. I have been using it to take notes at meetings and business conferences and it performs well above average. For fountain pen lovers who need quick access and don't want to take the time to remove a cap, this is the perfect fountain pen.
