Matt blue vanishing point with stub nib is awesome. I love the dark blue color and its resistance to scratches. So far no scratches and it glides smoothly across paper as intended. Excellent portable pen that I have received several positive comments on.

Smooth nib, very functional and classy. It does seem a bit on the delicate side so be careful with it. Low ink capacity but otherwise a great pen.

My first purchase from Pen Chalet is the Pilot Vanishing Point in gunmetal grey with the fine nib. I am very impressed with this pen, from the excellent build quality, to the overall look and feel. The location of the clip is not an issue, and helps align the nib orientation for me. So far I've only used the included blue cartridge, and it is very nice ink, especially on good paper like Apica and Rhodia, and even on cheap 3"x5" scratch pads and laser printer paper from Staples. The only issue I've found is on some of the variable printer papers at work, which are the very low grade material and are often poor copies with copious amounts of toner on them. The fine nib has some feedback but no scratchiness, which I enjoy, and has never failed to start immediately. Ordered mine on a Sunday and received on Wednesday, and at a nice sale price with free shipping to boot. Thanks Pen Chalet!

Great writer, amazing nib, and convenient design.

I have had the pen about a year, and continue to use it daily at work. It's inconspicuous and the clicky mechanism is great. I have medium large adult male hands, and the grip is comfortable enough for longer writing.

The pen fits most shirt pockets, but I find it too long for my pocket. That and if you keep it in your pocket the front gets full of lint that gets all inky.

The black trim finish has chipped off in a few places, showing the brass underneath, but that doesn't bother me.

Some complaints about the design:
1. Small ink capacity. This is the pen I find runs out most often and at the worst times. Maybe it also runs out because I use it a lot. You can tell it's getting dry when it gets slightly scratchy.
2. Ink flow can't keep up when drawing fast lines. I think the collector/feed is too small and too far from the point, but this is just a constraint of the mechanism. When writing fast normally the flow is plenty wet enough.
3. The section doesn't seem quite sealed to the front clip part. When I soak the pen to thoroughly clean it, ink leaks out where you grip the pen. However, this has *never* been an issue in normal use or while filling the pen. Just don't get the pen wet.

Quality product with the unique feature of a fountain pen working like a ballpoint. This is my second one and I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought this in Raden as a gift for my Girlfriend, and I actually ended up trying it out for some time. It is the Fine nib, and i must say for a fine nib, it really writes amazingly smooth. The Raden finish (which I understand, may have changed to a more coarse abalone chip than it used to be) is simply stunning and lovely to gaze at. Now, I just need to buy my own!! The reviews are true, this is a fine pen!! Shipping was ultra fast too.

I had seen and read so many reviews on the Pilot Vanishing Point that I was absolutely sure I would love this pen and upon receiving it all my preconceived ideas were confirmed if not augmented. Product aside I am happy to purchase from Pen Chalet as they are a trustworthy and accommodating retailer. Besides that little extra discount doesn't hurt either.

This is my go to pen for everyday use. Its extremely well made and the Vanishing Point functionality is smooth and thus far dependable. I've traveled with it and have had no issues while on the plane. I purchased the medium nib and this is perfect for my handwriting. Highly Recommend.
