This is my first fountain pen, purchased after I discovered the Pen Addict podcast. There is something very pleasing about writing with a quality pen. I fell in love early on with the Pilot Precise V7, so I was drawn to the Pilot brand. Writing (mostly journaling) with the Metropolitan feels more precise. The ink practically gushes out of the V7, in comparison.

I really enjoy writing with my Pilot Metropolitan stub nib. I like how my handwriting looks and I enjoy the feel of the pen in my hand. I bought my sister a Pilot Metropolitan medium nib and she is not a fountain pen user but she used hers for most of Inktober last year!

I'm an industrial designer and don't typically use fountain pens for designing or note taking but after using this Pilot MR Metropolitan pen It changed my perception of fountain pens as a tool. WOW, what a great pen at a great price! I loved my experience with this pen so much that I've punched other pens with different nibs to experience all that fountain pens have to offer. This pen is a great introduction to quality fountain pens. As a result of my experience with this pen I've stepped up and have purchased a high end gold nib pen. Again, A great pen for the price.
