Noodlers Neponset Fountain Pens Reviews

I ordered this because I wanted to try out a Noodler pen and didn't expect much, but this pen exceeded all my expectations. The pen feels really good to write with, isn't too heavy, very very smooth. Also, the pen just looks so beautiful. The pen is a steal at its price, I plan to order more

Finally, a Noodler's nib with real flex. I popped it out of the box, inked it up, and haven't put it down for a couple days. This pen is much more fun and much higher quality than either the Ahab (I have two) or Creaper which all require some serious effort to flex. The Neponset nib, on the other hand, is a flexy gusher. However, it's a Broad nib to start with, so it requires some touch to the most interesting line variations. Nevertheless, it's a large, well made pen. I got the lemon-drop yellow acrylic version, and it's really pretty. The acrylic has an excellent feel to it and on my pen anyway, the section was also acrylic and very comfortable for long periods of writing (unposted, btw, it's a perfect size for unposted writing). It's easily the juiciest nib I've ever written with, but that's just fun for me. It's not a pen for someone with tiny subtle handwriting, but if you like to slash your ink all over the place, it's great. Not dip nib flexy and not wet noodle, but it likes to respond to pressure. Easily worth the Penchalet price (get that 10% discount and free shipping! and no, I don't own stock in Penchalet, I'm just a fiend for good prices).

I currently own three Noodler's pens and I like them all but the Neponsit is one of my favorites I really like the size of this pen and the colors of acrylic cap and barrel are something you would expect in a much more expensive pen. The music nib is something you will need to get used to and if you want to use this pen as a daily writer then you will probably want to change out the nib. I have done this with mine using a standard #6 JoWo nib in fine using the same feed and with a little adjusting it works great. All in all a great pen at a good price, I certainly would recommend it especially to anyone that already is an experienced fountain pen user. (Tinkering is required)

Great product after a long wait from Noodlers I suspect. I like Pen Chalet. Prices and service are better or as good as Goulet. Free shipping a plus.

Absolutely love this pen. One of the greatest flex pens for the price. A lot of fun to do sketching with them.

This is my second Neponset. I purchased my first the day they were released. The first one was, of course in ebonite (brown). I was severely disappointed in the nib and feed. The nib was way out of tune and once tuned, the feed would cause to railroad constantly. This latest acquisition is in acrylic and is quite the opposite. The nib has good flex if a little broad for such use and the feed is really "juicy". For normal writing a very light touch is required. Overall I'm glad I gave the Neponset a second chance. (I just ordered another).

I love this pen. I got what I expected and am very pleased with it.
Two things I would mention about the listing. The ebonite pens are listed under the acrylic heading. That could be a bit misleading for some. Also, the image for the pen I ordered was incorrect. I figured that upon ordering so it wasn't a big deal for me, but may be an issue for others.
As I stated at the beginning, I got what I expected and am very pleased with my purchase! Pen looks and writes wonderfully.
