Conklin Replacement Fountain Pen Nibs Reviews
Conklin Replacement nib. I order two replacement nibs, a fine and a stub. so I would have options for my Mark Twain. The replacement went well without emptying the pen of ink. The new nibs will meet my needs perfectly.

I have gotten three of these nibs to get the nib I want on the pen I want: a steel fine, a black fine, and a black stub. All three nibs have worked perfectly well with no more effort necessary than unscrewing the existing nib and screwing in the new one.

Conklin is easily one of my top brands in the pen community. They have been around a long time and have a long standing of good quality pens. Great style and unique filling systems. They may be a little heavier than other pens, but that doesn't bother me. Their nibs are top notch...no scratching, skipping, or flimsy construction. Very reliable performance everytime I use it. I like reliability in the products I use and that's why I like Conklin.

Conklin has changed nib manufacture and they seem better. Still some flow problems so may be the feed. I like Conklin products and have three pens that can use this nib. Also they are screw in types which is very helpful.

The nib is pretty and writes nicely until the ink stops flowing after about 1/2 page(Conklin Herringbone pen.) I had the same problem with the Conklin Omniflex nib - this was to be a replacement. It seems that air cannot get back into the converter because if I flick the pen or turn the converter knob, the pen writes again for a while before drying up. I had washed it out before use and used a wet ink. May be a quality control problem since YAFA took over Conklin.

Bought this "fine" Conklin nib for a Conklinetta Senior, a sweet pen that seemed to me to write rather wet with a "medium" nib. Nothing wrong with writing wet but I don't always use high-quality hard paper, and everyday paper draws ink from a pen very fast. Then your writing is not as tidy. One can write faster, or use a finer nib. Easy as pie to unscrew the original nib and feed, and screw in the new. These Conklin nibs are rather long, and that's a good thing - it gives me a little feeling of flex or bounce as I write - it's not a "flexible" nib, but it doesn't feel like writing with a spike. Pen Chalet prices are reasonable, and service is fast, as always.

This Conklin replacement nib for my Conklin Duragraph was an extremely SCRATCHY nib from the get go. So bad in fact it was nearly tearing the paper as I wrote. Got disgusted and threw the Conklin Duragraph and its new unusable nib straight to the trash!! No more Conklin for me!!
