I needed to replace the nib on my limited edition Conklin Duraflex. I have no idea how I must have accidentally bent it. I was glad to see that The Pen Chalet had this available. I ordered it and quickly received it. It works very well, and I'm happy to use this pen again.

I bought a standard Conklin fine point nib to replace a Conklin "flex" nib on a pen that I bought from a different online store. Since I was buying Monteverde ink that the other store didn't have, I went ahead and got the new Conklin nib. The new nib is lovely to write with - the tines were aligned out of the box, there is a wet line that I love, and it's a nib that WORKS. The flex nib was awful, awful, awful.

This nib is a pleasant surprise. My experience with Conklin nibs has been spotty, but they appear to have made huge strides in their quality and consistency. The newer nibs do not appear to have the flow issues I experienced with older pens/nibs. Kudos to Conklin on the improvements.

After trying 3 different nibs all I can say is Conklin should never make another stub because they are terrible.

I am totally in love with these new replacement nibs. I had a couple of flex nibs. My personal writing style was probably not highly compatible with the flex nibs. So I sat those pens back in the box. Of course i hated it because I truly loved the pens. So I ordered these replacements and fell back in love with those sheltered pens. I highly recommend these if you are not totally loving the original flex nibs. They make a world of difference in my personal writing style. Plus you get pen chalets fast shipping and wonderful customer service to stand behind the product.
