Beautiful deep burgundy rose color with good shading attributes. A very generous 3 oz of ink in a very smart design glass bottle that makes filling your pen easy. Price is excellent, ink flows beautifully. This one is a favorite so hope they never stop making it...just bought my third bottle, so yes, I use it a lot. Looking for a burgundy ink, try a sample.

Smooth flowing and very fast drying ink in three vintage fountain pens and two modern pens. The deepest black I have ever found. I'm hard to please and I'm very satisfied.

I love the color of this Brown Sugar ink. The only issue I have is the packaging/bottling. This ink bottle was nearly impossible to open. I needed a pair of gas-house pliers for the cap and a rubber grip pad for the bottle. The threads were caked in ink and the finishing on the bottle threads was not the greatest. It still grinds when I cap the bottle. I've had this issue with a few Monteverde inks, but this was the worst by far. Other inks don't seem to have this issue. I'd recommend that Monteverde either tighten the specs on their bottle design or get another manufacturer for the bottles who can make it within acceptable tolerances.

Monteverde inks do their job. I like the fact that the are lubricated, and the shape of the bottle keeps it from tipping over.

A bottle of ink. As a standard recommendation you should invest in a sample vial and a syringe with blunt needle. Fill the sample vial when you get to the bottom of the bottle so maximize the usage. I find this brand of ink to be decent and the price to be reasonable. The colors seem solid (not wishy-washy) and drying times are about what I expect.
