I was so excited to get this ink (moonstone), I actually hadn't tried it, but I loved everything I had been seeing about it, so I bought the 90ml when it was on sale. At first I put it in a Pilot (M), and I was so disappointed I flushed it out of my pen. It seemed too light, almost unreadable, to my poor eyes. However, I wanted to give it another chance, so a week or two later I filled another pen, actually a Pilot (F) because it's what was available at the time. Initially I got the same result, on Kokuyo paper, then I tried it on some Muji grid paper, and it came out a lot darker, after that it seemed to work darker on the Kokuyo, but still noticeably lighter than on the Muji. The shading is more distinct and noticeable on the Kokuyo, but for my purpose, as a student, the cheaper Muji paper is going to be my choice for thjs ink, just to make it more readable for classwork. However, I do still hope to try it out in a brush pen, to see what it could do.

Monteverde California Teal is a pretty dark cool green ink with Red sheen. It is a staining color but is beautiful. The 90ml bottle is very large and will last a long time. I've tried writing this ink in a fine nib and almost prefer it in a medium or broad nibbed fountain pen.

This was my first experience with Monteverde Ink, I was not disappointed! The Amethyst is wonderful for the written word to shine and adds liveliness to my flower sketches! My ink palette will be growing as nature goes it's way.

Beautiful deep burgundy rose color with good shading attributes. A very generous 3 oz of ink in a very smart design glass bottle that makes filling your pen easy. Price is excellent, ink flows beautifully. This one is a favorite so hope they never stop making it...just bought my third bottle, so yes, I use it a lot. Looking for a burgundy ink, try a sample.
