How To Use Your Pen Chalet Premium Fountain Pen Care Kit:
The 30X Pen Loupe makes it much easier to see what's going on with your nibs. For example, your chances of identifying any nib misalignments is increased significantly when your vision is magnified by the handy pen loupe.
Rubber Nib Grips are absolutely essential when your section or nib is feeling slippery and you need to get a firm hold on it for repairs, replacements, or cleaning.
Brash Shims are the tool of choice for flossing nib tines.
Silicone Grease lubricates the piston seal (if you have a piston filling fountain pen) and ink converters. This is also what you'll use to seal the pen's threads when using eyedropper fountain pens.
Empty Ink Vials are more handy than you may expect if you're new to the fountain pen world. Use them to aid you as you "flush" our your pens with your pen flush and don't be scared to save your used pen flush (in these convenient and easily stored ink vials) for your next pen cleaning session. I didn't expect this to come in a nice little pouch. That was a nice touch. I found pen care kits elsewhere but they all had items in them that just weren't needed. This kit had carefully chosen items. The only item I would add would be a syringe. That would really put it over the top in terms of value. That said, I went right to work on my dry scratchy Visconti and it tuned it right up. I do recommend this kit for those in need.
