Lamy Replacement Reviews
I bought 5 nibs for my Lamy Safari. It's like getting 5 pens for the price of 1. I'm very pleased-particularly with the ease of changing nibs on the Safari.

Having gone from loving EF nibs for many, many years, I found I like M nibs better, so I got a replacement. It was every bit as easy to swap the nibs as I had been led to believe.

Replacing my current Lamy nib with a new one was super easy and straightforward. Pen Chalet packaged it so carefully and it came in impeccable condition.

I had purchased a Lamy pen elsewhere that came with the scratchiest nib I've ever encountered. I bought a replacement nib from Pen Chalet for the pen and it wrote 1000X better than the one that came with my pen. So happy to have found this easy solution at a great price from Pen Chalet (fast shipping too!)

replacement nibs are working great. I used the scotch tape method of removing my old nibs.

Replacement Lamy nibs. All as expected. Comfortable writing nibs. Style-wise I prefer the black ones. They are sold out where I live all the time. Thanks to Pen Chalet for having a good supply of them. They arrived super fast. Many thanks.

I've purchased 3 black replacement nibs. They're all very hard -- noticeably harder than their silver counterparts.
- The first one was a M, which was very stubby and very scratchy. After a little bit of smoothing, it's now a good nib with a bit of character -- and a good reverse writer too!
- The second was another black M, which I had to spend a LOT of time to even get to write. It's still very dry, but at least it finally lays down a line now. I keep it in case I need to tame one of my out-of-control-wet inks. But honestly, I never use it. Compared to my other black M nib, this one writes much, much finer (not just because it's dry; the nib tip is visibly smaller). Lamy nibs are oh-so-inconsistent in their sizing, and Lamy quality control...well, it sucks. I've never come so close to just throwing away anything fountain-pen-related as I did with this nib :(
The third was a black F which wrote well out of the box. I did tweak it anyway, because its sweet spot wasn't to my liking.

Love the Montblanc and Lamy fountain pens and tried all nib sizes including the extra fine. With the COVID-19 virus my friends and I have been busy writing a lot of letters to our fellow neighbors in our community to encourage them and give them a real hope, so I tried the Lamy Joy fountain pen to give my handwriting a more calligraphy look and finally settled with the 1.9 mm nib and it's perfect. Other pen companys were out of stock but Pen Chalet were there to help me. I gave a heads up to my family members how great the 1.9 mm nib works. Thank you very much!

This nib was fairly easy to replace and I'm enjoying using the bold nib (the fine point was too scratchy to sketch on watercolor paper).
