About the Platinum Pigmented Bottle (60ml)
The Platinum Pigmented bottle ink is quick drying, water resistant and improved chromogenic. Not only are pigmented inks water resistant but they resist light or UV degradation making the ink suitable for writing in diary, letters and where you want a more permanent ink.
The Platinum Pigmented ink comes in blue, sepia and rose red. Pigmented ink creates a bright colored result that is hard to spread so it makes clearer line edges than dye inks.

platinum pigmented ink is really fun to use. it's the only waterproof colored ink that i'm capable of using in a fountain pen, so i use it as a replacement for india ink when i'm addressing an envelope and i don't want to whip out my dip pen and other supplies.
my only complaint about these inks is that the sepia one is very dry and the pigments aren't dark enough to feel like i'm actually writing. i added a tiny drop of surfactant to it, and it helped a lot, but then it started having a feathering problem instead. so now i only use the sepia ink in a pen that i've specifically modified to use with that ink (it's a wing sung 3009 with an EF lamy-style nib that i've shimmed open)
the other two, the rose and the blue, work like a dream. absolutely no complaints.
same goes for the carbon ink, which i consider an honorary member of this line.

I have several platinum pens and wish to use ink designed for them. The ink is lighter in weight than some of the more familiar brands. The ink flows through the feeder smoothly. The color is true to advertisement. Good buy!

I got the Sepia, and it's a gorgeous, classic Sepia color. I've only used it on Clairefontaine paper, so I can't speak to feathering or bleedthrough, only about how it felt in my pen, which was terrific. The flow is wet without being gushy, and the color is plenty saturated. Is it the sexiest color out there? No, but I have yet to be dissatisfied with the performance of any Platinum ink.

I used a little to see the flow and the color. I have used their pigment ink before, and found that it clogged up the pen, but that was years ago. The color is a little to light for me in normal usage. Blue-black might be better.

This ink looks terrible on cheap paper(Mead, etc), it's a grayish blue.Doesn't feather but bleedthrough a little bit.
However, on good paper(Rhodia, etc) it is a beautiful blue, not super deep blue but readable.
The bottle is very nice.
