The Monteverde Engage One Touch Ink Ball Rollerball Pen features the very first patented retractable ink ball pen mechanism, drawing ink from a bottle just like a fountain pen. The innovative retractable ink ball pen is compatible with the vast array of bottled fountain pen inks, as well as standard international ink cartridges.
The Monteverde Engage Exclusive inkball rollerball pen body is made of resin. The pen comes with two ink cartridges, an ink cartridge adapter, and an ink converter included.
*Monteverde pens purchased in 2020 or later, may be packed in the "new" Monteverde pen box, a thin, black plastic box with grey velvet lined interior. The black is encased in a green/black cardboard sleeve featuring the Monteverde branding.

This pen is beautiful, love the green acrylic with streaks! But writing is the most important and it writes great. I have green one in it now. I love that it takes fountain pen ink!! Just wish it didn't cost$80. Still, it will keep a lot of ink pens out of the landfill. Someday my great-grandchildren will look at this pen and say,"what is this thing?"

The Pen Chalet Exclusive Engage Inkball from Monteverde is a wonderful option to use any fountain pen ink in a rollerball format. The green resin is unique and looks great. Being able to use it with 1 hand is a great option compared to other rollerballs plus no ned to buy refills.

Once inked, writes like a 1.0 ballpoint. Currently inked with Noodler's HOD. Didn't know HOD can shade until I inked this pen. Depending on the ink, it still feathers on cheap paper but it's convenient.

I picked up the blue Engage. Beautiful and slightly understated. It’s a very smooth writer, substantial in the hand but not unwieldy for a woman who wears size med gloves. I simply adore the grab n’ go convenience of a rollerball with the creative alternative of using my fountain pen inks! I highly recommend the Engage. I really like th color, may pick up the graphite sometime. I paired this with Diamine Sapphire Blue, which might be my all time fav blue, leaning a tad purple in the best way.

I like the looks of this exclusive version. My pen writes well. It isn't super smooth, but with a lubricated ink it does better. No leak issues, and it has been very reliable.
