My 1st Sailor, I have been wishing on one for years and this one is a beautiful pen. I do honestly have pens that write better but I love the look I have an issue with the feel of the Section, it just does not fit my personal grip all that well. I still use it a lot anyways hoping my fingers will adjust to it because it is just so pretty.

Attractive pen. The sparkles make the purple stand out and accent the chrome trim. A cartridge pen which you can get the converter for. Very lightweight and a little on the short side for me. Still usable but I prefer a longer barrel since I do not post the cap which can be done with this pen. The section is a little small. My objections to this pen are all personal preferences. More than a beginner would like to spend but there is no reason a beginner would have any problems using this pen.

my first sailor pen and i'm very pleased with it. i have been trying various pens and this pen is a nice addition to my shirt pocket. the purple sparkle is really nice and the nib, while it needs a slight tuning, feels much better than a steel nib. my only down points are the uncapped length is a bit short for me and i would prefer a physically larger nib. these are just personal preferences and detract in no way from the pen. i would certainly keep sailor on my buy list.

The Pro Gear Slim Purple Cosmos is more beautiful in person than in photos. I like that it has sparkles, yet its appearance is subtle.
When posted, it's a comfortable size in the hand and feels balanced. I chose the music nib, which gives me some line variation and shows off inks. The nib was perfect right out of the box. I've kept it inked since I got it. Wonderful pen.
