New for 2018 is a Pelikan M205 Demonstrator fountain pen in a clear resin. The Pelikan 205 fountain pen is a piston style pen fitted with a stainless steel nib and silver color trim. The clear demonstrator barrel allows you to see inside the pen to see the inner workings as well as the fountain pen ink inside.

The pen has a clear cap and barrel so you can see all the inner workings of the pen. It has silver trim, a black medallion on the top of the cap with the Pelikan logo, and the traditional pelican bill shaped clip in silver. It has a chrome band on the bottom of the cap with "Pelikan" and "Germany" engraved and a smaller band at the end of the barrel of the pen. There is an actuator that will fill the pen with ink. You control it with the knob on the end of the barrel of the pen.
The cap is threaded. It will post on the end of the barrel of the pen and it has a steel nib in a silver color with a black feed. To control the piston on the pen, you turn the knob on the end of the barrel of the pen, that will run the piston through the body of the pen and fill it with ink.

This is the Pelikan M205 Demonstrator fountain pen. It comes in a cardboard box that has the Pelikan logo printed in brown. The box slides open and inside is a small pouch for the pen and there is also some information about Pelikan as well. This was my first Pelikan purchase and I am very happy with it. Pen is a bit on the smaller side but still feels great in my hand. Nib is buttery smooth, even for an EF, and glides across the page. It just feels great writing with it even for an extended period of time. Will definitely be trying out more Pelikans in the future!

My "preferred" pen length is the Lamy Safari. The Pelican is smaller but very nice to use posted. Once inked, NOT A SINGLE ISSUE. The pen writes smoothly (Medium nib) out of the box. It unscrews quickly and ready to go. Nib is slightly bouncy and amazingly comfortable. Great pen.
