I was intrigued by the Midnight Astral version with the cool star patterns. I've had another IM for some time and it's a good writer so I was comfortable ordering this one, especially with the discount. It is very nicely made and attractive, and I was surprised at how smooth writing the medium steel nib is. I ordered a Parker converter for it and the flow is perfect. The only small negative I have is that the snap cap takes some effort to remove, but it has a satisfying "snick" when capped. I am quite pleased with mine and would have no qualms recommending it.

This is a beauty of a pen. I got the Midnight Astral version with a fine nib. It writes very nicely, and it's lovely to look at. The dark blue and silver and the smaller etched (?) designs are just stunning to me.
I bought the matching converter, and everything is working well together. Very happy with purchase.

The pen is only OK. I am disappointed that Parker has seen fit to produce a pen kind of cheaply. It feels like a lightweight. It writes OK. It does not include a converter so that you have to order one extra. I had seen this pen elsewhere, but had not ordered it due to a personal rule that I will not pay $100 or more for a pen with a steel nib. When I found it on your website at a price reduced below that amount, I bought it.

Honestly, I was ready to return it without even inking it. Looked better in the photos than in person, especially compared to my Conklin or Diplomat Aero. But I figured I'd ink it up and see how it wrote.
Then the cartridge wouldn't seat . . . but I got that done and started writing. The Parker writes beautifully! Smooth, no stutters or skips and feels good in hand, neither too heavy nor too light. The short Parker nib (I got a fine)has a smooth and steady feel that's quite pleasing. The ink flows onto the page with ease and grace.
There may not be much oomph in its looks, but this is one fine writing tool!

Being an astronomy buff, I had to get this pen with the constellations on it! It's comfortable to write with and the fine nib is very smooth.
