Parker pen company has always been an innovative company beginning when George Parker created the Lucky Curve fountain pen. The company has continued to carry this spirit and vision throughout the more than 125 years they have been making writing instruments. With his first pen, patented in 1889, George Safford Parker created a system that returned ink into the reservoir using capillary action and reduced ink leakage.
Over the years the Parker pen company has continued to create innovative writing instruments. In 1939 the Parker 51 fountain pen marked a major achievement with it's hooded nib and a fast drying ink. Considered to be the best pen of the century.
Parker pens come with a 2 year warranty. Warranty information is included with each Parker pen. For details on a specific Parker pen fee free to ask.

Customer Reviews

A neat and durable writing instrument. But hey, it is a Parker man! I have had several of this style of Parker, and I'm telling you the body of the IM Special Edition is breath taking! Super unique piece. "Great Writer"!

Very nice old model from Parker. Nice writer straight out of box. Happy to buy it. Only hard to post the cap. If like hooded nib this one is good choice for you. Nice service from pen chalet.

I like this ink, but outside of the box it came in, I couldn't find anything that says it's Blue/Black. It looks more black on my test sample I made, but hey, I don't care, I like this ink :-) . It flows really well in one of my older Parker pens and better than most in my "Newer" Parker Sonnet ~ Resin fountain pen. Seems to be a wetter ink, and if if keeps the pens writing after they've been sitting awhile, I'm all for that. Good price too, excellent value. I even like the bottle :-)

Great workhorse ink as long as your paper is fountain pen friendly. I liked using it in a Platinum Preppy in eyedropper mode. That ink lasted me for years inside that pen without issues.

This is a beautiful pen. Unfortunately, my father still can't see what he's writing due to his macular degeneration.

This is a great pen! The steel nib writes very smoothly. The pen is quite comfortable to hold, and feels good posted. The midnight blue is a lovely colour.

I use the ink to refill fountain pen cartridges - saves me a lot of money and reduces plastic waste :D

Parker Quink is my "go to" ink. I've had fountain pens that wouldn't write with any other ink. New inks may be trendy and colorful, but Quink is always reliable. If you have a fountain pen that skips or dries out regularly, don't throw it out before trying Parker Quink.

I bought this for my 1970s/1980s Dupont Gatsby pen after reading it would fit that pen. It does. Just as good and much more affordable than the converter Dupont distributor sells.

I have found that this ink flows very well. Other inks have taken time to flow from the nib, which is frustrating. I purchased this for my Parker and I'm glad I did.

I am really pleased with this purchase. I ordered it in the off-chance that it would replace the outworn ink converter in the Parker fountain pen that I had received as a gift in 1970 - exactly 50 years ago! And, yes, it fits perfectly! This speaks to the quality and consistency of Parker pens through two generations.

I was intrigued by the Midnight Astral version with the cool star patterns. I've had another IM for some time and it's a good writer so I was comfortable ordering this one, especially with the discount. It is very nicely made and attractive, and I was surprised at how smooth writing the medium steel nib is. I ordered a Parker converter for it and the flow is perfect. The only small negative I have is that the snap cap takes some effort to remove, but it has a satisfying "snick" when capped. I am quite pleased with mine and would have no qualms recommending it.

This is a very reliable, safe ink at a good price. Used in my Waterman Expert (medium nib), it looks a little gray (I seem to have a very light touch with the Waterman). But with my flex nib pen, it is a dark, true black. It is extremely water-soluble,so if you need something that can stand up to moisture, this is not it. However, this has been one of my go-to inks for everyday writing for years and easily washes off hands, most clothes, and most surfaces.

I own many of these Parker products some bought in my travels 6 times to Russia where they are hard to find and very expensive most have been simply put away in my collection Th IM has been put into my day to day use file. Smooth and easy wrighting (Canadian EH) The only slight negative is it is a bit wet so must not use it too slowly or it will soak out into the paper and drain the fill overly soon..
