The pen has a small chrome band at the top of the cap that attaches this chrome colored clip that has a Noodler's Ink logo engraved on it. And then it has a thicker chrome band at the bottom of the cap. This is the blue lapis version of the fountain pen, so it has swirling color pattern. It's gonna be unique for each of these blue lapis fountain pens.
This is a piston style fountain pen, so it has small windows. You can see the inside of the pen. You can see the ink and inside of it. It is a threaded, or screw-on, cap, and it can be posted on the pen. It has a chrome colored nib. The Noodler's Ink Co on the nib.
Now, since it's a piston style fountain pen, to fill the ink on the pen you can twist this knob on the back of the pen, and you will see that piston as it runs through. You can see it inside the window as it runs up and down in the inside of the pen.
So, if you're looking for a fairly inexpensive piston style fountain pen, with a flex nib, this is a great fountain pen. Good quality. Get your Noodler's Ink Standard Creaper fountain pen at penchalet.com.

Noodlers Standard Flex Creaper Reviews
I was very excited about this pen, but as other reviewers hace said, this pen has a strong and unpleasant odor that refuses to go away. I thought it would go away with the pen flush, but it didn't. At this point, I don't know if I'll use it at all.

This is not a vintage or 'true flex' nib, but it is a great starter flex pen at an excellent price, for those dipping their toes into flex.

Love it, the color is awesome, the feel while using and how smoothly it writes. Very pleased, would buy again as a gift.

This is a very nice pen. It wrote immediately after being inked and has a very nice feel for a thin pen. It handles the shimmer ink that I got it for perfectly.

Very light pen, decent flex but not dramatic.

A good quality pen for the price. Love the versatile flex nib. Have had a little trouble with posting the cap, as evidently it twists when I write sometimes, which can screw/unscrew the piston mechanism and splurt a bit of ink; granted, this only happened once, but mostly I don't post this pen's cap, just in case it happens again. The pen is nice and small, and since it's so inexpensive, I feel comfortable carrying it around with me every day. The piston fill is great, and holds a lot of ink.
I ordered the "Ivory Darkness" color, which on the website looks like it's actually a photo of "Vulcans Coral"... I was not expecting a black pen with ivory marbling (although in retrospect that makes a lot more sense with the name). I like pen, just not what I was expecting.

I had one, lost it, replaced it and remembered why I wasn't upset to loose it. This is a decent pen- but you constantly have to screw with it to get it to write consistently. If you are someone who likes to fiddle... go for it. But 7/10 times I use this thing I just get cranky at having to adjust something yet again. And- for real- the nasty smell is no joke. Lasts for weeks.

the nib dries out fairly quickly, you should use this one frequently if you get it. i would advise against putting sheening inks in it, because it gunks it up pretty quickly if you leave it alone for a few days.
aside from that, the pen works wonderfully! it's an amazing price for an american-made piston pen, the "flexible" nib is a lot stiffer than i was expecting, but it certainly will flex if you push it. i would recommend this one for someone who is new to flex pens and does not have as much fine motor control as a calligrapher, because you have to deliberately push when you want it to flex, similar to a zebra g nib.
i am considering putting a vintage nib in this one to try it out with a nice waterman flex experience. luckily, i'm pretty sure that this thing is a fairly standard #5.
penchalet sells spare feeds specifically for this pen, but lots of places in india (and indian-american importers like FPR) make standard #5 flex feeds, which rocks, because you can maintain this pen if you want to, even if noodlers stops making them.

This pen literally smells like vomit. I wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased as it seems this is not an isolated issue. Just google Noodlers Pen Smell. I guess it has something to do with Vegetal Resin it is made with. I can't recommend buying this pen, for me it is still outside airing out. Hopefully one day I will get to use it without gagging.

Lovely translucent emerald green. Cleaned the pen and it writes with a line between fine and medium. I don't flex write so I can't speak to that.
