Montegrappa Extra Otto Sapphirus Fountain Pens

The Montegrappa Extra Otto Sapphirus fountain pen has a diamond-cut stone body and rose gold trim. This limited edition is the first Montegrappa pen ever cut from stone. Using an innovative process the stone is cut in wafer-thin pieces and strengthened with a carbon-fiber core.

Throughout the ages, aesthetes have been captivated by the semi-precious stone lapis lazuli. The ancient Egyptians revered lapis lazuli’s ultramarine color and shimmering finish. It was supposed to have healing powers and was used for medical treatment. This same material has been used to craft this pen. Limited to only 192 pens in reference to the 192 known chapters of the Book Of Death.

The ornamentations on the capband of the pen depict Eyes of Horus and a winged scarab, Egyptian symbols of good health and power. The body has an octagonal shape and the stone has golden-colored flakes accentuated by the rose gold trim.

The pen has been fitted with an 18k rose gold nib and uses a piston filling system. The pen comes presented in a large wood gift box and a bottle of Montegrappa fountain pen ink.

Montegrappa Extra Otto Sapphirus Video Script

This is the Montegrappa Extra Otto Sapphirus fountain pen. It comes in a large green cardboard box that has the "Montegrappa" logo on the top of the box lid. This box lid lifts off, and inside is a nice wood box for the pen. The wood box has the "Montegrappa" logo in a brass colored plaque on the top. The hinge-style lid which lifts open, and there is the "Montegrappa" logo on the underside of the box lid.

Included with the pen is information about the pen, the warranty card. Also included with the pen is a bottle of Montegrappa ink. There is also a cover for the pen. This pen sits in a false bed with a cleaning rag included with the pen.

And, of course, we have the Montegrappa Extra Otto Sapphirus fountain pen. The pen has a beautiful rose gold trim. The Montegrappa traditional shape clip with the roller at the end of the clip. There is a "Montegrappa" logo on the top of the cap as well.

A nice large ring, at the center band with what appears to be some Egyptian characters around the pen with "Montegrappa" engraved on it. A ring, here, at the bottom. Each of these rings are real interesting, because they are octagonal in shape, where they have multiple sides to them, as well as the body of the pen that is faceted. So the pen will sit in position and not roll. Made out of a granite-type stone material. On the bottom of the pen, the number of the pen engraved.

The cap is threaded and unscrews. It will post on the pen. There is a section that matches the rest of the rose gold trim with a matching rose gold nib. It has the Montegrappa filigree pattern on the nib with the "Montegrappa" logo and a black feed.
