The Laban Gloria fountain pens are a stunning showcase of the guilloche technique. The “Guilloche” fountain pens are carefully engraved with the guilloche technique, then painted with color and five layers of transparent, colorless lacquer. The finished look is nothing short of exquisite.
A Reinterpretation of a Classic: Guilloche
“Guilloche” is a traditional craftsmanship technique originating in Europe during the 18th century. Craftsmen hand-operated machines attentively to generate the finely engraved pattern. With an endless diamond-shaped guilloche pattern engraved on the Laban Gloria fountain pen combined with the lacquer finish, the beautiful guilloche pattern generates an endless array of interactions with the light at different angles that serve as flashes of boundless imagination for your next luxurious writing experience. In hand, the lines of the guilloche pattern can be felt subtly against your skin - adding an additional connection to the fine writing experience as your nib moves across the page. The Laban Gloria fountain pen is a cartridge converter that is compatible with standard international-size ink cartridges or converters. The fountain pen nib is made of rhodium and stainless steel, with 2 color-plating and features the Laban logo engraved on the German-made nib.
The pen's grip section is gold-plated brass with a metal coupler. The O-ring around the coupler provides an air-tight seal and prevents ink from leaking out.
Each Laban Gloria fountain pen is packaged in Laban's blue gift box and includes one converter, a branded bookmark, a brand logo or pen sticker, and a manual/warranty card.
