About the J Herbin Transparent
The J Herbin Transparent fountain pen is small when capped but extends nicely when posted for comfortable writing. The pen comes with a stainless steel iridium tip nib and accepts a standard universal short ink cartridge or a Monteverde mini ink converter. The snap-off cap and barrel are both clear allowing visibility inside the demonstrator style fountain pen.
Note: No ink cartridge is included with the fountain pen.

It's a compact design pen, but once you put the cap on, post it, becomes quite long and when usable. You see the feed there on the pen. And the nib, it's the stainless steel, iridium tipped nib. It accepts a standard universal ink cartridge, although no ink cartridges are included with the pen. Probably could also convert it to an eyedropper pen, if you wanted to test it out and play with that. Pretty basic pen, fairly inexpensive, great starter pen. J Herbin Transparent Video Script
This is the J Herbin transparent fountain pen. It's an inexpensive pen, comes with no packaging or ink as well. Clear transparent demonstrator cap and barrel. It does have J Herbin logo printed very subtly on the side of the cap, has a chrome colored clip and a chrome cap on the very top, or tip of the cap. It's kind of unique, because it's actually cut there at an angle, not exactly flat all the way across, you can kind of see that. The nib continually scratches and skips while writing. Ink flow uneven. Whether the fault of this pen or of the Diamine ink cartridges I'm trying to use, the ink leaks from the cartridge into the assembly that houses the nib. So, there is quite visible ink where there should be none.

This small, inexpensive fountain pen is perfect for me. I've used fountain pens intermittently, never quite finding the right one. I've been persistent in my search because fountain pens are overall easier for my fingers and hand to use, especially since my fingers tend to cramp from handwriting. I really the size of this pen and the fact that capping it makes it easier to use, not more unwieldy like other fountain pens I've tried. I also like the transparent casing. Why should I be surprised to find that I've run out of ink? It's a great little pen if you learning to use a fountain pen, but also very practical for regular fountain pen users. It might not be stylish, but its functionality is more important to me.
