Delta Virtuosa Video Script

This is the Delta Virtuosa fountain pen. It comes in a simple box, foam interior sandwiched between a plexiglass lid and bottom piece. It has a post on the one end with the Delta logo on it. Beautiful printing on the top with the Delta logo, Italy 1982. It has an elastic band closure on the opposite side. Remove that and you can swivel the cap open on the box lid, and included is, of course, the Delta Virtuosa fountain pen.

One thing that I really like about this pen is that beautiful swirling resin, the cap and the barrel. Each pen will be unique because of those resin patterns.

The top of the cap has a small bullet shape with a small chrome band, and that transitions into the chrome clip on the pen. The bottom of the cap is a thin curled band with a thicker chrome band. Delta Italy and then Virtuosa is printed on that thick chrome band. If you unscrew the cap on the pen you can see there's a chrome band here that separates the cap and the barrel on the pen there, and then on the bottom of the barrel a small chrome band, just a simple, rounded end, little bit of a taper there on the barrel of the pen. The cap is threaded and unscrews.

It's a pretty decent sized pen without the cap posted, or you can post it if you'd like. It doesn't feel too top heavy with that cap posted. Same resin on the grip section. Steel nib on the pen. You see the Delta logo with some other etchings on the sides of the nib and the section of the feed there on the back side of the section. The section unscrews and this is a cartridge converter style pen. Included with the pen is a standard universal ink cartridge. You could add an ink converter to the pen if you want to use bottled inks, but it's not a large barrel, so you may just have to use a smaller ink converter.

Great looking fountain pen. I really enjoy the swirling resins, just make each pen unique, and beautiful colors. Get your Delta Virtuosa fountain pen at PenChalet.com!

FAQs about the Delta Virtuosa

Q:
Is the nib solid gold? 14k or 18k?
Asked on Apr 27 2016 by David
A:
The Delta Virtuosa fountain pens come with either a stainless steel nib or a Delta 18k gold Fusion nib. The fusion nib has 18k gold attached to the stainless steel nib to infuse properties of the gold to the nib.
Q:
Is the gold nib a true gold or is it the fusion style, with a piece of gold on top of the stainless nib?
Asked on Dec 30 2015 by dave speers
A:
The nib on the Delta Virtuosa fountain pen either a stainless steel option or a Delta fusion option. The Delta fusion option is part gold fused to stainless steel so it is not a solid gold nib.
